Gay Pride

[First of all please know I believe everyone has an opinion; This is just mine.]

Today was actually going good until I was at the bus stop by the Court House & a black priest came out with a mega phone shouting to practically nobody about how horrible homosexuality is. I'm not lesbian nor will I ever be but I support the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender community 100%. This man was saying things that were not necessary & frankly didn't make sense to me. He started off with, "I know I can't change your beliefs about homosexuality." Really? In that case you should just GO HOME. You CAN'T change my mind no matter what evidence of it being "wrong" that you have. I see it as being none of his business in the first place. In fact it's nobody's business but the Gay Community. He continued to talk about God & how if California passes a law that allows gay marriage to happen that soon they will pass something that allows Pedifiles to date & marry 12 year olds. What?! I wondered as I sat there, "Where did we go from Gay to pedefile?" Is he trying to convince me that being gay is as bad as being a pedefile? I will never believe that. He said we should all protect our kids. I know it's kind of stereotypical but I wondered how he could be preaching this when all over priests [just like him] were touching & raping young boys & girls. He might want to fix THAT problem before he tries to prosecute gays.

He then started talking about how their excuse is that they "are born that way". He said that how dare anyone tell him he was born black because he was born "white". He wanted to be white so why couldn't he be. Well, because black/african american is a RACE & NOT a sexual preference. He said that they couldn't have been born liking men. Were any of us girls born liking men? No, certainly not. We thought they had "cooties" up until puberty really. Same with Gays. They don't like men as babies. That wouldn't make sense but most gay men or lesbians don't just like the opposite sex & then all of a sudden switch to liking the same sex. Sure in some cases that's how it works but many if not most like the same sex as soon as they start liking anybody at all.

The only reason this situation would be any of his business is if they did pass a "pedefile bill". But they never will because there are laws & laws out there about sex & age & pedefiles that would NEVER allow something like that to happen. If the day comes that it does I will be right by his side fighting against it, but it won't. Therefore the life of a homosexual is none of his business.

I rest my case.
